Internet Marketing Links – Backlinks To The Top

By , May 30, 2015 8:13 pm

One of the most important things you will need to do when you build up your internet business is to get a lot of highly qualified traffic to your website, in order to do that you want a high search engine ranking so you can get traffic for free. Using internet marketing links is one way to help increase your page rank to help you get more traffic.

The search engines have many things they look for when it comes to determining your rank. The bottom line is that they want to see a site that offers a lot of quality to the website visitors. Anyone who does searches online is basically a customer of the search engines so the search engines want to keep all their customers happy and that reflects in the rankings they’ll give a certain site. So if you want a high search engine ranking you have to have a good website that will provide visitors a lot of helpful information and the search engines will reward you by giving you a high rank.

The number of links you have coming to your site is one of the factors that the search engines will take into consideration when it comes to rank. If they see that your site has a lot of links from other sites online they will consider that almost like an ‘endorsement’ for your site. They will view it as a sign that your site is ‘legitimate’ and worthwhile and they will assume that you can offer their customers a good experience, for that they’ll reward you by giving you a high rank in the search engines results.

The amount of ‘power’ any given link will give you will vary depending on the rank that that site has. For example, a high ranking site that links to your site will give you a huge benefit in the rankings. If on the other hand, the site linking into yours doesn’t have a high rank or a lot of traffic or inbound links of it’s own, the impact on your site will be much less.

Building links is actually pretty easy to do, there are several ways to go about it. For one thing, when you place an article in an article directory that has a high rank, they will link back to your site and give you a nice inbound link.

You can also contact another website owner and see if they’d like to exchange links. You will place a link to their website on your website, and they will place a link to your website on their website. This works well if you both have similar, not competing, websites and each have a decent amount of traffic.

Internet marketing links is one of several ways you can increase the amount of traffic to your website and it will not cost you a penny. By improving the ‘desirability’ of your website you are making the search engines want to reward you by giving your site a high rank. This will provide you with a ton of free traffic and that is the one thing you will need to make a lot of money online.

Blogging Advice – Personal Blogging Or Business Blog

By , May 28, 2015 11:16 pm

Having your own blog is definitely a very popular thing to do now, probably because it’s just so easy to start a blog and there are even ways you can make money from your blog. If you’re just starting out and you need a little blogging advice, there are many online forums that you can join and ask questions of other more experienced members. If you want a very quick overview, keep reading…

One thing for you to realize, is that you can start a blog for free. Two of the most popular blog formats are and Blogger .com. You will have a wide variety of themes, the overall look of your site, to choose from with either format. You can have it hosted for free or you can buy your own domain name and set up a hosting account so that you actually own your blog site. This is the preferred method if you want to make money with your blog since you don’t actually own anything with the free methods.

The next thing you will need to consider is what are you going to blog about? Do you just want to set up a personal blog so you can share your travel or family stories with friends and family around the world, do you want to share gardening tips, etc? It can be whatever you want it to be you just have to decide.

Just remember that if you want to use your blog to start a business, you will need to spend a little more time and find a profitable niche market instead of just setting up a blog about something you love to do. In order to make money with your blog you have to make sure that there are enough other people who are willing to spend money on the niche you pick.

Whether your blog is a personal blog or a business blog, you can still make money by adding some ads to your blog. To do this simply sign up to Google Adsense, they will place ads on your blog related to the topic of your blog. Whenever someone clicks on one of the ads you’ll get paid a commission. The amount of money you make won’t be a lot, but what the heck, if you’re just blogging for fun anyway making a little extra money every month is just gravy!

Another thing to keep in mind, again this advice will pertain to any type of blog whether it’s a personal or business blog, is to make sure that you stay on topic with your blog readers. If your blog is about gardening you don’t want to start writing about sewing for example. While it is ok to write the occasional post on something a little off topic, don’t make it a habit. Remember, people will come back to your blog over and over again because they are interested in the topic of your blog. If they are reading a blog about gardening then they want to read about gardening. Give your readers what they want.

By following this simple blogging advice you can be be up and ready to blog in no time. It’s a fun way to express your opinion, make some money, share your knowledge, or just have fun.

Internet Marketing Promotion

By , May 27, 2015 2:42 am

Internet marketing promotion goes a lot deeper than simply building a website. Sure you can build one but if no one knows it is there than it will not benefit you at all. You have to get the word out and with the millions of websites out there and competition being as stiff as it is, your website must be optimized to the hilt so your customers find you and not someone else with the same product.

If your budget allows, get yourself a good internet marketing promotion tool. With these tools you can learn all about marketing strategies and analyzing techniques to track who is actually visiting your website and how your website is functioning. There are many of these tools available, you just have to find the one that will work best for you.

Do not overwhelm yourself by trying to look at too many though, pick three that sound good and then learn all you can about them. If one of them is what you are looking for then use that one. If not move on to three more and make your choice. Just do your homework. Your livelihood depends on it.

Ok, so, you put up a website months ago and you are just not getting the conversions, or sales, you expected. This usually means that there is a problem with your website. One key to getting the conversions you want is to have a well-designed, user friendly website. It could be just a matter of the font size you chose to use or the color of the background.

These are simple, easy fixes but they are all important to show that you know what you are talking about. Grammar and spelling are important as well. If you use incorrect grammar and spelling anyone who visits your site will be immediately turned off because of it. Make sure you proofread your sales page and correct anything that is wrong. You know what you want to say so say it with the correct spelling and grammar.

Did you know that you can test your website? You sure can. It is a good idea to test your website to see how it is faring on the search engines. There are several browsers and operating systems and depending what combination your visitors are using they may not see your website the way you do. The font size, layout, and colors may be different so they may see something totally different than what you have created. Testing your website on all the browsers will help you make sure everyone is seeing what you are offering correctly.

Good keyword research is also important. You want to try to find keywords that have a decent amount of searches every month but do not have a lot of competition. This can be a time consuming process, however. You will need a good keyword search tool and a few hours to spend looking.

When you find keywords related to your product or service then just keep a Notepad file open so you can keep track of them. You might get lucky and find a little nugget that no one else is using. If you do then this little nugget will be as good as gold to your bottom line. Do not just stop there keep up with the changing times and spend some time each week or month looking for additional keywords to use on your site.

Internet marketing promotion needs to be consistent. Keeping your website interesting and up-to-date is key. Do not ever stop learning. The more you know the easier it will be to make changes and tweak your website to keep it on top of the search engine results pages.

Google Social Networking – The Social Networking Alternative

By , May 25, 2015 5:06 am

Google is huge and seems to be the biggest at everything on the internet. Although there was one part of the internet that Google wasn’t involved in and that was social networking, however they are now trying their hand at social networking as well. As Google has become the biggest in its field in many areas on the internet including search engines, email and paid advertising, they will also aim at being the biggest in social networking.

Social networking websites such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter are incredibly popular worldwide and in fact they have become quite a phenomenon. These social websites offer a fantastic opportunity for people to connect with other people all over the world. People can connect with their friends, their family, the work colleagues and businesses can use these sites to reach out to new customers. There are literally millions of people worldwide that use social networking websites and now many businesses are also using them as part of their marketing plan. A business can increase its customer base drastically by using social networking websites.

So where does Google fit into the social networking scene? Google has now joined the game with its very own social networking website called ‘Orkut’. A very strange sounding word I know but one that will soon be common to us all as this networking site becomes more and more popular on the internet.

Orkut has become very popular in Asia and also in Latin America and is now also gaining in popularity in the United States. As with any project that Google embarks on, they are working hard at making their social networking site one of the biggest on the internet. Google is aiming for Orkut to dominate the social networking market so that they can have the same success, if not more, as Facebook and other social network sites have had. Orkut has grown incredibly in popularity in China and Japan and has had more than 11 million visitors in just one month alone.

Facebook is certainly one of the biggest, if not the biggest, social networking site in the world and only time will tell if Google’s Orkut will have the same success and become as big as Facebook. One thing for sure is that Google never do anything by half measures and they will give this project the attention it needs for them to succeed. Google has proven time and time again that they can be very competitive in the strongest of markets.

While other social networking sites like Facebook are capitalizing on this popular market, Google are certainly working hard to get in on the action. If Google can offer its members something enticing then there is no reason why they won’t be successful in the social networking market. If you already have a Google account then you are already half way through the registration process with Orkut so why not go ahead and sign up to Orkut and start using this new social networking website to your advantage.

Internet Home Based Businesses

Succeeding with Your Internet Home Based Businesses

If you’re running internet home based businesses or are considering getting into one, there are some steps you need to follow in order to make your endeavor successful. First of all, it’s easy to get caught up in all the hype of the many products that are offered to help you in your business. They all claim to be the best or have the best formula or system that makes everything easy. Of course, you first need a product or service to sell. And that is actually often the easiest part of starting a business.

But the reality is that there are really only three steps you need to master in order to grow your business. You need to get your business in front of the people who will be interested in buying your products or services. You need to build a list of all of the people who take a look at your business, even if they don’t buy. And you need to build a relationship with the people on this list so that they become buyers or repeat buyers. In short, you need traffic, a list, and communication.

Let’s start with traffic. If you’re on a budget, you can use the many free or low-cost traffic generating tools out there such as Facebook. Twitter, Blogger, WordPress, USFreeAds, Craigslist, and YouTube, just to name a few. These are extremely effective places to tell people what you are offering. You can also do some paid pay-per-click advertising on some of the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Facebook.

When it comes to building lists for your internet home based businesses, there is one tool that is essential. That is an autoresponder. This tool allows you to place a form on your website, blog, or whatever web page you are using to create interest in your product. Generally, you offer something free like a newsletter, a sample product, or partial service, in order to get the people to fill in their contact information. This information is then added directly to your list of clients/potential clients. So, you can now email them with updates, information, new products, or whatever you want to communicate with them in order to help you build your relationship with them.

In this day and internet age, the personal touch is becoming more valued, simply because it is less frequent. Everything is automated including customer service, sales, and emails. So, if you can add a little bit of personalization to your automated efforts, it will go a long way in establishing trust with your list and clients. How can you do this? Send out cards every once in a while for birthdays or holidays. Communicate on Facebook. Make some phone calls. There are several ways to show your customers that they are important to you. Asking for feedback helps as well.

If you can master these three simple rules, your internet home based businesses will be successful.

Search Engine Keywords Equals Search Engine Optimization

By , May 21, 2015 11:04 am

Search engine keywords also referred to as search engine optimization or SEO is a technique where you can strategically place keywords in your website to get the benefit of all the searches for that particular keyword. Doing this properly will allow you to get lots of visitors to your website who are all interested in your product or service. This greatly increases the chance of making a sale.

For example, if you had a website about dog training and you found a great keyword (high monthly searches with low competition) you could use that keyword in your blog posts, articles and even in the pages of your website. Let’s say the keyword was “dog training book” whenever someone did a search for dog training book your website would be one of the first to show up, of course that is if you’ve picked the right keyword and there isn’t too much competition for that keyword. All that traffic would be free and since the keyword is about a specific item, a book, that likely means that many of the people who visit your site are ready to make a purchase.

When it comes to finding the best search engine keywords you have a lot of options. There are many software tools out that can help you automate the process and find those keywords that meet whatever parameters you specify. Remember, that there are some differences of opinion when it comes to what exact number makes up a ‘lot’ of searches or a ‘little’ competition.

The Google Keyword Tool is one of the most commonly used and it is free. Using this tool can help you locate a long list of keywords that will meet all your needs. If you can afford to invest in a keyword tool you really should, while the Google keyword tool works well, you have to remember that it only has limited functions and that everyone else is using it. That means you and thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of internet marketers are utilizing this tool too. Having the ability to use a different tool that will drill down a little more and provide you with some more unique keyword choices can help you a lot.

A paid keyword tool will often give you even more information than just the number of searches and the amount of competition. Many of them will also let you know how strong the competition is (after all, if the competitors are weak, it doesn’t matter as much if there are a lot of them since you know what you’re doing more than they do and you’ll be more competitive). Another feature many keyword tools have is the ability to let you know how likely someone is to make a purchase based on the keyword they are searching for.

The internet can be a gold mine for anyone who is willing to learn how to work that mine. There are many tools you can get that will help you get the most out of your efforts when it comes to search engine keywords marketing.

Keyword Assistant – Grab Your Targeted Traffic

By , May 19, 2015 3:01 pm

When people search online for keyword assistant they will often get two main results, one is for an IPhoto plugin, but for the purposes of this article we are going to concentrate on finding quality keywords for your online business web sites.

Creating a keyword list for your online business should be your number 1 job. After all, a good keyword list is as close to being able to legally print money as you can get.

The keywords you choose will go a long way to determine not only the amount of traffic you get but also the quality of the traffic you get.

A lot of people online will talk about ‘targeted’ traffic, but what in the world does that mean? Well, when it comes to online traffic, quality is so much better than quantity.

You only want to get visitors to your website who are interested in your product or service. It just doesn’t do you any good if you get thousands of visitors to your website but don’t make any sales. After all, sales is ultimately what it is all about.

So, if you choose the keywords that will deliver the visitors to your website who are truly interested in your product or service, many more of them will actually take the action you want them to take, whether that is to buy something or to sign up to your email list.

This is a common mistake that people who are new to internet marketing make, they see a keyword that gets hundreds of thousands of searches a month and they jump on it. The problem is what they don’t take into consideration is the fact that those highly searched keywords also have a ton of competition.

For the most part, you are simply not going to be able to compete again that much competition. Instead, don’t even try. Find great keywords that get fewer searches but also have fewer competitors.

If you compile a large list of keywords that get 1,500 or more searches a month than you will have a great shot at ranking well for many of the keywords on your list. Ranking high for 10 keywords that each get 1,500 searches or more a month will actually deliver a lot of traffic for you.

The exact parameters you want for your keyword list may vary somewhat depending on what niche you are in and what you are using the keywords for (SEO,PPC, article marketing, etc.). Take some time to test and tweak your results until you find just the right combination of monthly searches and low competition.

Keyword research can often be a long and tedious process, but it is also a necessary one. Good keywords can do so much to improve your search engine rankings (which results in providing you with a ton of free traffic) as well as help you drive traffic with other methods.

Consider this article your keyword assistant
and use this information to hone your keyword list building skills.

Buy Domain Names – Tips On How And Why

By , May 17, 2015 6:00 pm

Want to know what the steps are to buy domain names? Having your own domain name and your own website is by far the best way to start an online business. When you have a domain name and a website it’s like ‘owning’ your own piece of online real estate. It gives your business credibility and it allows you the control you need to run your business as you choose.

Many people, especially when first starting out, mistakenly think that they can put up a blog or website for free at places like or and that is the same as getting their own domain name.

Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. when you go the free route, you don’t own anything and you don’t control anything.

If the company who is hosting your blog decides that they are going to change some rule and then find that you aren’t in accordance with the new rule, they can just pull the plug on your blog. They don’t have to warn you, it’s theirs and they can do what they want.

It also presents a less than professional image to any visitors that may visit your free website. You want to create credibility and look professional. Neither of those things is achieved with a free site.

So, hopefully I’ve got you convinced that owning your own website is important, now I will walk you through the steps to buying your first domain name.

1. Figure out what your website will be about. Are you selling products or services related to birds, golf, online business, pets, etc.

2. Once you determine what niche your business will be in, you need to find a list of keywords related to that niche. A long list of highly targeted and highly searched keywords is what you are looking for.

3. Take your list of keywords to an online domain registrar, there are dozens. Plug in your keywords until you find one that is available.

For example, if you are building a business about bird watching and you’ve found that the keyword “bird watching for beginners” gets a lot of monthly searches, than you plug that in to see if the domain name “” is available. If so – great, if not – keep looking.

The more competitive the niche the more time it will take to find the right domain name since many of the keywords that you are using will already be taken.

If possible, use a .com extension but if you just can’t find a .com but you can find a .net, I would go for it. I’ve used both and have gotten great results with either. This is especially true if your domain name is a really great keyword.

Also, try to avoid using other words if possible. If the most searched for keyword on your list is “bird watching tips” it’s best to use only ‘” but if that’s not available you can still get good results with “”.

It’s not quite as good, but it’s better than using a less popular keyword for your domain name. As long as the keyword itself is intact, it won’t hurt you to add a word before or after your main keyword.

It’s easy to buy domain names, what becomes more of a challenge is to buy the right names, these tips will help you get a great name for your business.

Google Keywords Tool – Your Lifeline To Targeted Visitors

By , May 15, 2015 8:10 pm

One of the basics of having an online business is getting traffic to your website or offer, and the foundation of getting traffic is targeting the right keywords. Google is one of the biggest search engines and as such would know better than virtually anyone what phrases are searched for the most and you can use the free Google keywords tool.

Before you set off to establish your keyword list you need to identify the niche you are going to target. Once you know that, you can than start by using a basic phrase associated with your niche. The keyword tool when then offer you suggestions on some other possible keywords.

When you use the keyword tool there are some settings that you need to be aware. The three types of match types are broad, exact and phrase. For each matching type there are pros and cons.

Broad match will give you the most outcomes since it is just what the name implies: broad match. So if you search for the term cheap golf balls you can get results that include any of the three words: golf, balls, or cheap.

With broad match you won’;t necessarily get targeted visitors to your site. You will tend to get a lot of traffic, but it won’t be targeted and it won’t likely get you many sales.

Exact match means that you will receive visitors that are searching for the exact keyword you target. So, to use the example above, if you are using the exact match feature for the keyword Cheap Golf Balls that is exactly what you will get which will usually result in less traffic but the traffic you get will be more targeted, and that is the best.

The general rule of thumb is that you want a keyword that has a lot of searches but not a lot of competition. What constitutes a ‘lot’ can vary some what depending on the methods you are using to get traffic.

You will have to determine for yourself what you the parameters would be for your specific niche. It might take a little trial and error when you are first starting out.

It doesn’t matter what type of traffic generation you are using online, you will need a good list of keywords. Pay Per Click, Search Engine Optimization, Article Marketing, etc. will all start with you doing your homework and gather a large number of great keywords to target.

One of the best parts of having an online business is that many of the tools you will need to succeed are free to use. You can realistically start a business online even if you have no money at all. All you really need is access to an internet connected computer and the will to succeed.

To begin your online journey you can use one of the best free tools around, the free Google keywords tool. Having a solid understanding of what keywords are and how to generate good keywords lists is essential to your online success.
